Astonishing Cheek
I represented a client today at the Crown Court. The history of this case shows how careful you have to be in choosing a lawyer. Here is the story:
The client committed a series of minor traffic offences and a solicitor was instructed. The solicitor did not bother to meet the client nor attend the hearing but had the cheek to charge £1500. The outcome: the client was disqualified for 15 months.
He was advised to seek my help.
I advised, drafted the appeal notice, attended the Crown Court and represented him in the appeal. I created a computer chronology to assist the court. Outcome: disqualification reduced to 9 months. Costs? Under the astonishing £1500 charged by the solicitor who did nothing.
Value for money and good service will always pay dividends.
Be wary out there. Make sure you know what you are getting for your money.
