Andrew Henley is a criminal barrister based in Guildford, covering Surrey and London. Andrew is able to take cases directly from the public, without the additional cost of instructing a Solicitor. If you have received a Magistrates’ court summons or have been charged or are being investigated, Andrew will be able to help defend you.
For a single hearing in a plea of guilty in a local Magistrates’ Court:
The conference and preparation is £500.
To attend the hearing is £1,000.
(I do not presently charge VAT.)
In all other circumstances, including appearances in the Crown Court, the hourly rate is £250. Subject to the nature of the work involved, a fixed fee is usually cheaper then charging an hourly rate.
As service to my ex. colleagues in the Military, I accept instructions under the Military Legal Aid scheme.
