Recently I represented a client at the Maidstone Magistrates’ Court. He had accrued 12 points on his license and was expecting to be disqualified. To the lay person, there seemed little chance of a successful outcome. We had a long conference, during which I discovered that material existed which allowed for me to advance an argument to avoid disqualification. I was also able to advise my client to obtain documentation to support the application to the court.
The outcome: only one hearing at the Magistrates’ Court was required (a significant financial saving) and the client retained his driving license! The further outcome: a very satisfied customer who appreciated the benefit of investing in his future by opting to have a conference first, and then following the advice of a good quality lawyer.
